Introduction
Use Products to present an online catalog and let customers either buy at listed prices or request a quote.
Use Cases
- Let shoppers browse products and categories, then buy items through the cart and online checkout.
- Use quote mode when price, quantity, delivery, or availability needs staff review. Customers send a request instead of paying immediately, and staff can send a quote for approval and payment.
- Offer choices such as size, colour, or package, including different prices for each option.
Supported fields
Basics
- Section label
- Optional. A short label that can appear above or beside the products heading. It is often decorative, but it can also carry a proof point, qualifier, or small trust signal.
- Title
- Recommended. The main heading for the products section. It tells visitors what this part of the page is about before they scan the items underneath.
- Intro
- Optional. Supporting text for the products heading. It gives context before visitors reach the cards, list, gallery, or form below.
- Icon
- Optional. An icon for products templates that include a small visual marker. It can help establish the section theme without requiring a full image.
- Secondary title
- Optional. A heading used by product layouts that need a second product group, often for related products, more products, or alternate collection blocks.
- Returns policy
- Optional default. General return or exchange copy for the shop. Product-level return policies can be more specific when an item has special terms.
Products
- Title
- Required for each product. The public product name. It is used as the product card title, product page heading, cart line item, checkout line item, order email label, and product search name.
- Short description
- Recommended for each product. Quick product copy for list cards and the top of the product page. It helps shoppers decide whether to inspect the product or add it to the cart.
- Images
- Multiple images per product. Product images drive the catalog grid, product gallery, cart thumbnail, checkout context, and social/product graphics.
- Icon
- Optional per product. A lightweight visual marker for compact layouts or product cards that do not rely on photography.
- Category
- Optional; multiple categories in the current editor. Assigns the product to one or more product categories. Categories drive filters, category gateway layouts, URL-based category filtering, and some navigation/listing experiences.
- Tags
- Optional; multiple tags per product. Freeform labels for product discovery, imports, and filtering-style experiences that do not deserve full categories.
- SKU
- Optional per product. The operational product code used for fulfillment, POS sync, order review, imports, and duplicate-name URL disambiguation.
- Barcode
- Optional per product. Retail barcode data for scanned catalogs, POS workflows, imported product lists, and fulfillment systems.
- Price
- Optional per product; required for sales checkout. The base price used for display, cart totals, checkout validation, and product offer data. Variant pricing can override it for specific combinations.
- Currency
- Optional per product; ISO currency code. The currency for product prices. Public display resolves symbols from the currency or business country, and checkout validates that cart currency matches the published catalog.
- Compare-at price
- Optional per product. A reference or old price shown beside the current price when the product is not being shown as a starting price.
- Starting price
- One on/off setting per product. Shows the product price as "from" instead of a fixed price. Variant price ranges can also create starting-price display automatically.

- No delivery
- One on/off setting per product. Marks a product as digital, ticket-like, pickup-only, or otherwise not requiring delivery. Carts made entirely of no-delivery items use the digital checkout form and skip delivery fees.
- Customer notes
- Optional section default; optional item override. Lets shoppers attach a note to a product, such as a gift message, engraving text, dietary note, or customization request.
- Variants
- Optional; multiple variant types and options. Variants describe choices such as size, color, flavor, material, format, or package. They create selectors on product pages.
- Variant pricing
- Optional; one price per valid combination. Controls which variant combinations are sold and what each combination costs. Checkout and Stripe use the selected combination when available.
- Attributes
- Optional; multiple key-value rows. Product facts shown as a quick specification table and used by product filters.
- Content blocks
- Optional; multiple content blocks per product. Long-form product page content. Unlike Services, an enabled product can have a product page without content blocks, but content blocks make the page worth landing on.

- Enabled
