Overview
- Flax previews plan changes before confirming them. The preview shows whether the change happens immediately or at the next billing date.
- Upgrades normally happen immediately. Dodo calculates the immediate card charge after any wallet balance is applied.
- Tier downgrades can happen immediately with wallet balance. The cash-refund window controls refunds to the payment method, not whether unused value can be kept as Dodo wallet balance.
How previews should be read
The plan change dialog shows the target plan, the timing of the change, the immediate card charge if there is one, any wallet balance applied, and the next payment date. Dodo may localize the card charge into the buyer's checkout currency while showing wallet balance in the wallet currency.
Upgrade scenarios

Scheduled changes
Some billing-cycle-only changes can still be scheduled for the next billing date. If a scheduled change exists, the current plan stays active until that date. You can cancel a scheduled change before requesting a different plan change.
Wallet balance
Dodo can apply wallet balance to future charges. When this happens, the Flax preview shows the immediate card charge separately from the wallet balance applied. A low card charge does not necessarily mean the target plan is cheap; it may mean a prior balance is being used.
