Codex can connect directly to your Flax website without waiting for a public Plugins Directory listing. OpenAI currently offers Codex with Go and, for a limited time, Free. Other paid plans also include Codex. Usage limits vary by plan. This setup uses Codex from the command line. If Codex is not installed, follow OpenAI’s Codex setup guide first. Then open Terminal on Mac or PowerShell on Windows. Copy this command, paste it into Terminal or PowerShell, and press Enter: codex mcp add flax --url https://agents.flaxsites.com/mcp This saves the Flax connection in Codex on this computer. It does not change your website. Next, copy this command and press Enter: codex mcp login flax Your browser will open. Sign in to Flax, choose the website you want Codex to use, and approve the connection. Then return to Terminal or PowerShell. To check the connection, run: codex mcp list If Flax appears in the list, start Codex and open a new task. Try asking: “Please review my website and suggest three simple improvements. Don’t make or publish any changes yet.” When you want an update, tell Codex what you would like changed. Review the result in Flax before publishing it. The direct Codex connection does not need ChatGPT Developer Mode or a Flax public-directory listing.
